I’m Rivaldo. My parents have five sons. I am the third son. My family is from extreme poverty. I could not count on the help of my parents to continue my education. I had to find somewhere else to live.

I arrived at a home for abandoned boys in Puerto Alegría at the age of twelve. I missed my family. Spanish was the language spoken in the home. I did not know Spanish because I am from an ethnic group called Ticuna. It was very hard for me to transition. Now, little by little, I am learning the language and feel better.

When I got older, I moved to the home for abandoned boys in Iquitos. There I accepted Christ as my Savior. My life changed; now my life makes sense. I was baptised with some of my other friends in the home. Now I am a part of Divine Grace Evangelical Christian Church. It is a privilege to be a part of this church and community.

My dream is to become a great nurse. With my career, I can serve the Lord and reach many people who do not know the love of God. I want to return home and support my parents. God is good. With his mercy, I will reach my goals.

Thank you for all the support you give me and for always being with us boys. Through this ministry, I know the love of God. Blessings.
