My name is Antony. When I lived with my parents, I was not given an education. I watched other young boys like myself that studied, and that gave me something to fight for. My whole life I wanted to study. I never could, because my father is an alcoholic and my mother is dead. My father was never at home. He said he was working, but he could not provide for the needs of our family. I am one of twelve siblings with different fathers.
I had to search for ways to stay alive in the house I grew up in. I had to search for ways to get out and for a way to change the circumstances life had given me. Sometimes I was hired to get rid of trash for my neighbors. I also made some money plucking chicken feathers. At night time I would watch people’s property and motorcycles. This was where I made some very bad friends. I was forced to smoke many drugs and drink alcohol. At the age of 10 years old I had already tried cocaine. I was ashamed of my reality, but this was the only way I was able to survive.
Many times I would think about how empty my life felt. I thought that I would never be able to meet my goal of receiving an education. I would get very sad. I used to always think that I was born as a disgrace.
When I arrived at the orphanage, I came to know Jesus. I was baptized on June 10, 2017. After that, my life changed completely. I felt happier than ever before. I felt like a true child of God. I came to realize that God was with me even when I didn’t know Him; God was with me in every moment.
I am not able to continue my studies this year. However, Kings and Queens really wants to help me. They want to take me in and allow me to continue my studies. Because of this, I am super happy. Now I have the hope to meet my goals once again. I want to continue my education and become a professional. My dream is to help the other kids that need help. Thanks be to God!

Consequences of sharing such personal information with the public via multiple outlets were explained at length beforehand. Even so, he willingly and proudly chose to share his story of hardship, suffering, and hope to impact others and bring glory to God. Kings and Queens International is reminded of Luke 8:39, “‘Return home and tell how much God has done for you.’ So the man went away and told all over town how much Jesus had done for him.” We are proud of him for his boldness in Christ.
